How to Plan Your Day When Seasons Change

Planning your wedding day can be a daunting task, especially when considering the ever-changing seasons to decide on a final date. With daylight savings time potentially on its way out, many brides find themselves planning fall weddings based on summer daylight. To ensure your day goes smoothly, it's crucial to enlist the help of your photographer and wedding planner. We're here to guide you in making the right decisions for your ceremony time, family photos, golden hour, and whether to opt for an outdoor or indoor venue. This is all in order to maximize your time and ensure you receive the very best photos!

Living in Charlotte, NC, we're all too familiar with the unpredictable nature of our summers. The sweltering heat and humidity, coupled with sporadic rain showers, can throw a wrench in even the most air-tight plans. However, with the longer days, we can often work around these challenges. The spring and fall seasons, on the other hand, present their own set of obstacles. When it rains, it pours, and the days get shorter – making it trickier to navigate both the weather AND timing.

Chasing Light: Finding the Perfect Moments in Every Season for Your Wedding Day

These times are ideal for achieving that dreamy, even light that enhances your photos. Of course, you're welcome to create your own schedule for your big day, but these suggestions serve as helpful recommendations to ensure everything runs smoothly and you get not only amazing photos, but a plethora of them!

Trust us to help you capture the magic of each moment, regardless of the season and changing light. You deserve to pick your date based solely on what you and your partner want :)

Fear not – that’s what I’m here for! Here are some recommended times for key moments of your wedding day:

Winter: 3-5pm
